Master Builders South Africa is the leading national representative body in the building and construction industry in South Africa. It is a voluntary membership based organisation whose primary role is to promote the viewpoints and interests of the industry, to promote the highest quality and standards through excellence in service to our members, engaging government and legislative bodies on national policies that affect the industry, for the purpose of creating a sustainable building industry in South Africa.

So it is necessary to know about the prinpicle of concrete batching plants.
A concrete batching plant, also known as a concrete mixing plant, is a device that combines various ingredients to form large amount of concrete. It can have a variety of parts and accessories, including but not limited to: mixers, cement batchers, aggregate batchers, conveyors, radial stackers, aggregate bins, cement bins, heaters, chillers, cement silos, batch plant controls, and dust collectors (to minimize environmental pollution). Next, we will talk about how these accessories work together to form concrete. A mixer trucks can be classified into four parts: aggregate feeding, powder (including cement, fly ash, expanding agent and so on) feeding, water and admixture to mix materials, transmission and storage.
When control system of mixer is charged with electricity, the operation interface of man-machine interaction appears and system begins to process initialization which includes formula number, concrete grade, concrete slump, productivity and so on. Test each silo and weighing hopper according to weighing system. The control system will output signal of the material amount to prompt operator to make sure whether to start control program or not.
Then start belt conveyor to transmit aggregate to weighing hopper; open valve of fly ash and cement tank and start screw conveyor and motor to transmit them into weighing hopper; open control valve of water sump and admixture sump to make water and admixture flow into weighing hopper. After the weight of all kinds of materials meet the needs of given amounts, the door of weighing hopper is opened automatically. Then the materials will mixed by a concrete mixer. When the setting time is up, the loading door of it opens. Then the concrete will flow into a concrete mixer truck.
